The Nursery

We have been growing plants at our nursery since we first moved to the farm in 2010. We have grown thousands of grasses and perennials over the years to supply our landscape jobs. As demand for our plants and design expertise grew, we saw the need to open our nursery to the public on a consistent basis.

Our plant selection is a direct reflection of our experience working with plants over the past 20 years.  We know what does well in the Fraser Valley and we will help you succeed with plants by helping you choose the right plant for the right location.

We have several show garden areas to inspire you and allow you to see how plants perform in a garden setting.  We also have over 50 different varieties of fruit trees planted on the farm.

Landscape Designs

Jack Oostenbrink nursery and landscape design

Jack has been designing gardens and installing landscapes throughout the Fraser Valley and Lower Mainland from Hope to Vancouver over the past 10 years under the name Silverstone Landscapes.

We know that gardens are made for people.  The design of a garden should be a reflection of the people that live in them and how they live their lives.  Jack's designs are characterized by simple plantings and clean lines while maintaining a strong connection between the indoor and outdoor living spaces..

Kind Words

When our well-established half acre yard was ruined due to a flood, we trusted Jack's advice and judgement as he, in stages, used his plant knowledge and garden design experience to start from scratch.  After considering our ideas and tastes, as well as our ability and time for maintenance, Jack designed an eye-catching layout with interesting plantings that will give us pleasure for years to come

Our Nursery and farm are more than a job for us, they are a lifestyle.  We grow our plants on site. Our heritage breed chickens forage the pasture with our two cows, Molly and Sukey.  Every year we plant up a huge vegetable garden that feeds us through most of the year.  Numerous fruit trees and berries have been planted to supply us with an amazing bounty for canning, cooking and fresh eating. In the middle of it all our five children are growing up and learning to nurture and care for this little patch of earth that has been entrusted to us.
